“Project Based Learning redirects learners away from traditional paper and pencil tests and toward more ‘authentic’ performance assessment practices such as collaboration, communication, problem solving, and teamwork.” Project Based Learning gives students a real need to know, understand, and demonstrate what they learn, beyond simply getting a good grade. www.bie.org
