Line as used in famous art work
We use art to communicate our thoughts and feelings. People communicate with spoken words and the written alphabet. But, they also communicate in other ways such as the clicks of a telegraph using the Morse code, the bumps of braile, the rhythm and beat of music, or by using the sign language of the deaf.
Artists use shape, colors, and lines to communicate through their artwork. There are seven elements of design which artists use to create their artworks. The elements are the building blocks which artists use to create their artwork. The seven elements ofdesign are line, shape, color, texture, value, space, and form. In most artworks the viewer should be able to pick out these seven elements and comment on how the artist used these elements to create the artwork.

These lines that are formed in nature are called organic lines such as lines found in a cob web, lightening bolt, feather, tree branch, and leaf veins. There are many kinds of lines. Lines can be wavy, zig-zag, straitht, curved, thin, chick, broken, diagonal, horizontal, vertical, short, long, etc.
